Buy local, fresh Hawaii Island fish direct from the fishermen. While I sell the majority of my catch to Hilo’s historic Suisan Company, especially the larger fish, I also sell smaller fish directly to local families. Fish under 20 pounds have little value to Suisan, but are perfect for families wanting a good deal on fresh fish!
Primarily serving the districts Hilo, Puna, and Ka’u, all fish are caught in local waters by kayak and generally posted for sale within minutes of being landed and iced.
All your island favorites: mahimahi, ono, ahi, kawakawa, aku and more! Now available at wholesale prices within hours of being caught by local, commercially licensed anglers.

Once a fish is caught, it may be listed for sale in two ways:
1. Set price- A fish will be listed with an estimated weight, a set price per pound, and general location. The first to comment is the first to claim it (backup claims are welcome in case the first deal falls through).
2. Auction- A fish will be listed with an estimated weight, an opening bid, general location, and auction closing time. The first commenter starts the bidding by reposting the opening bid amount, then subsequent bids can be placed in increments of 25 cents.
Once a sale is made, the buyer will be put in direct contact with the seller to arrange to meet in person.
